No worries...I just didn't understand where you were coming from initially. I only cruise here & the general but only certain threads & get what you are saying. Some threads get off the rails rather quickly.

For the most part folks can get crusty behind a keyboard & there's only a handful I notice that genuinely come across a jack wad trolls on most every post...sure folks can get testy when they don't agree but most all of us would get along if we ran into each other.

This thread is a little different as you are talking about engaging the person eye to eye. You really gotta go out of your way to be rude especially after a friendly gesture & a compliment like the example I gave. Some people just gotta be miserable I guess.

What I like to do when I visit Camaro6.com is to click that link at the top that says "New Posts". This displays all the threads with new posts since my last visit. I like this because I don't have time to visit all of the sub-forums to browse around, but seeing the list of thread topics can be interesting to me, and then I will read a thread that I might not have seen otherwise. This is one such thread. I have enjoyed reading it even though I have an SS and not a ZL1.

I love coming on here and learning new things, and seeing the community help each other. Like your thread about that random clip you could not identify. Cool stuff!

How has this "New Post" button escaped me for so long, I really like it! Thanks

I'll knock next time I come back to this part of the forum.

Oh and Artos, it wasn't personal at all. It was a general response to the threads mentioned above.
Now you're being sarcastic, which is fine.
No need to knock, its a forum, people come and go as they will.
I personally don't go into forums that don't interest me, and come here for very specific reasons. I have interest in the convertible forum, California area forum, Audio/Video, etc. but no interest in conversations in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th Gen forums, General forums, RS forums, or SS forums. No dis to folks that do at all, but I limit the time I spend on here to relevant (to me) conversations.

Back to the OP and the purpose of this thread, regarding the OP's experience with the corvette owners, most of the vette owners I have run into here in SocAl have been super chill. Possibly because most I have met are in my car club which is open to all muscle/pony cars, so we have most higher end trims of Mopar and Ford, as well as SS's, Zl1's, and vettes from GM.

I have had a few peeps say nice vette too. Personally I have always been a camaro fan and liked them more then the Corvette. This car sneaks up on vehicles. I have pulled on several 600cc rockets. At the next light they just look over with a big a#$ grin damn that car is fast. Can't wait for my headers, pulley and tune this f*&$er is really go na move.
I have seen other zl1's driving at me and damn they do look bad ass for sure.
I hope the rumor of the Camaro dying off is not true!
Cheers Men!!

Second, most of the ZL1 guys stay in here, and don't really venture out in the other parts of the forums, for a number of reasons.

I don't think anyone here goes into SS or RS forums and talks crap. What usually happens is someone comes in here and makes a smart a$$ comment, and gets their face wiped with the floor and their feelings hurt when people have to defend the Zl1. Beyond that, I just don't think anyone here just talks crap about other Camaros unless provoked or in defense.
I have to agree, it is the SS guys coming here not ZL1 guys going to the SS forum. I am not sure of why the SS guys do that other than them saying that their SS is just as good but cheaper and we spent too much money.

It's not very many & usually the same couple of trolls who sneak in, do a drive by snarky comment thinking they are clever & take an otherwise good thread off the rails & never even return to defend their debunked drivel...I think ruining the talking point is the objective & these types certainly add no value to the site.

Most SS owners appreciate the ZL1 just like we do the SS...it's certainly IMO one of the best cars you can snag for the $$$$. Problem is these handful of trolls who for whatever reason feel the need to cause divisiveness within our community so the troll gets it going with a drive by, somebody retorts & another reply & we are now taking the dirt road.

Agree, I for one think the SS and ZL1 are two of the best cars for the money in their respective categories. The RS has it's place in the world as well

no seriously, in general there's mutual respect all the way around, same with the vette in my opinion , back to the OP's interaction , which was unfortunate

These are great times for performance junkies ! SS, mustang's, scat pack's, hellcats, demon's, GT500's, Corvette's, and the new C8 coming. While I enjoyed the corvette owner looking my way, I really don't know what was on his mind, but in the end were all on the same team and that team is Performance ! Thank you all for the comments, and go catch a straight rode, or a backroad, dragstrip, or oval track and let it rip !
