I have several times. Especially when one passed me and then tried to walk away from me getting on the freeway. He had it floored because of the exhaust coming. I had to slow up some to not hit him. When I got on the side of him, he gave me the thumbs up.

I get peace signs and thumbs up from Vettes, and lots of photos and conversations with Vette owners at the track. Here in CA many Vette owners definitely see us as one family.

I was gassing up my Camaro when I was once told "Nice Corvette" by a guy driving a C5.

I had a Corvette behind me the other day. It was a C3 convertible. We got to a stop sign T intersection where it was wide, and I was turning left and he was turning right, so we ended up next to each other. I glanced over and he happened to look over at me and give a friendly wave, so I waved back and then we were on our separate ways.

Generally I've found corvette owners to be friendly. I have had a few instances where they want to show their 'superiority' at a stop light, but this is rare (and it takes this behavior at a few lights before I will bite anyway). One guy in a manual Stingray learned very quickly that a ZL1 with an A10 is nothing to be messed with...he clearly had no idea and was a bit shocked when I was 3 cars out on him before he got the clutch out . It didn't get better from there for him...

I had an older guy (perhaps bad eyesight) at dealer waiting room say he loved my new corvette which was parked outside. He was a C6 owner :-) I think the car looks so curvy and the 1LE has so many wings and blue/black color contrasts it's confusing on first sight.

Last night driving home from gym in LA on a well known curvy stretch of Sepulveda climbing up from Ventura Blvd to the tunnel near Skirball Center, a new 911S passed my rapidly through a residential area where I never speed. Later we reached a long section with no garage access where I get in it and I caught up to him just before the entrance to the tunnel with 2 lanes in that same direction. I pulled into the lane next to him, and expected a fun side by side high RPM run together through the tunnel but he backed way off and let me run through it alone. I dont know if he was intimidated by a much cheaper and more powerful car that would leave him behind and drown out his T6, or just thought I was a yahoo. I wasn't planning a drag race, just thought the combined sounds would be cool in the tunnel. Disappointing :-)

Maybe it had nothing to do with your car and he just thought you were handsome.

It just depends on the individual...if the vette owner (or any flavor) is a true car enthusiast, he/she doesn't have a chip on their shoulder or give any negative vibe regardless of model.

I pulled into the auto parts store the other day & a bunch of Ford guys were having some sorta mini show of sorts...while walking in I just tried to kill them wth kindness & said hey / nice rides & half reciprocated & the others gave me the stink eye. It is what it is & really don't get the whole nasty side.

I am amazed that a lot of the vette owers dont realize tha LT4 was put into something other than a Z06. Been to a couple of shows where vette people saw the car, and were scratching their head. Several thought I had swapped the engine in on my own.

Yep, sounds like he didn't take his meds that morning. He probably thought he was at a rental car place.

I always get on it going under bridges. I roll down both windows, mash the pedal, sometimes go sideways(under control of course) and listen to the song.
