Yeah, this is about as sad as I have seen in a LONG time. Lots of measuring going on in this thread.

OK. I throw my opinion in there too. I am in the group that just didn't like the 19 front. I think the 20 looks way better. When I saw the pics of the 20's, the first words out of my mouth were GM fixed it. Looks great now.

Sorry bud, but I cannot even fathom anyone looking at a 2020 SS and a 2019 SS side by side and saying the 2019 looks better. For that matter, how anyone can say the 2019 refresh SS looks good at all. UGLY, UGLY,UGLY

Why is this thread even here? Everyone has different taste, it's what makes the world go around. Your opinion isn't better than any one else's opinion.

Close this thread now?

Your infortainment is a bit nicer than the one on my 18, but not THAT much nicer

Does yours have green tint at the bottom of PDR videos? The one 19 I tested did have that as did the 2019 press cars, curious if that's really common though.

This thread is mostly silly because the OP didn't even know what trim levels he was comparing against his 19SS. The entire point of the thread is invalid.

For starters, yours is a ZL1 1LE, while mine and Elvis' are the SS - obviously, yours is the superior version regardless of where an SS falls in the progression of 6th gen styling, so I don't think for the purposes of the argument I was making before that bringing your particular Camaro into it makes for an apples to apples comparison.

That said, yours being a ZL1 brings me back to something I said earlier about the front end of a 2019 ZL1 specifically. Obviously even the 2017-2018 ZL1s had the wider grille openings than the SS for better cooling, but the fact that GM didn't apply wider grille openings to the solid rest of the 2019 SS front end tells me that the solid portions of the 2016-2018 Camaro front (mildly changed in other ways for the ZL1 of course, but still very much based on the front from those years) provide superior performance to the 2019 SS front end - flowtie, revised geometry, and all.

If that was NOT the case, what possible other rationale could GM have had permit an inferior design to persist on its highest performance Camaro when they'd already designed a "better" front for the lesser SS? As optimized as the rest of the ZL1 and especially ZLE are, I don't see GM not making that change unless there was a benefit to staying put with the front end.

Now, it may well be that you need the extra high performance of a ZL1 to fully realize the performance benefit of that front end and that the SS is sufficiently "tame" (relatively speaking) that the 2019 SS front end ultimately has no negative cooling or aerodynamic impact on that application versus an earlier SS and the previous front end... but I'd be lying if as a 2016-2018 SS owner I didn't admit I like the fact that I've got what is likely the more optimized front end. If I was trying to supercharge an SS to ZL1 levels or beyond, I might want to take heed of GM's decision with the 2019 ZL1 in deciding which front end I'd wanted on that project car.

If you fellas want to persist in seeing my questioning the 2019s as "better" as some kind of personal slight or reactionary response coming from feelings of inadequacy, that's up to you, but the above is I think a reasonably argued critique from an engineering perspective, following on the heels of what I said before (which I made clear to be my own opinions) about the subjective styling aspect.

The rest is minor tech gadget garbage, which probably just make the car more expensive anyway. And if someone wants a 2.0T with 1LE they can get it (which is good IMHO), even if not my cup of tea.
And they lost homelink which I actually use every time I drive the car.
