The closest thing to proof I ever found was a before and after dyno of the C7 after cleaning the valves. It regained close to 10whp after a cleaning. Although I can't remember who performed the dyno test and I wouldn't be surprised if it's one of the catch can folks. |

Only people that buy catch cans care enough to look into this..?
The fact is it collects a good amount of oil, maybe it's perfectly fine for that amount to end up in the intake, maybe not. I can afford $100-200 to err on the safe side.

Excellent thread. Thanks for sharing. We have before and after dyno runs on the same day showing close to 20 whp regained after cleaning at 20k miles on a LT1.
Be aware, the LT1 and LT4 cannot tolerate any oil ingestion as you see first hand in your experience. The can your using traps less than half that enters it allowing the rest to still be ingested. The E2-X family of our systems is designed just for these engines and provides full time evacuation vs part time as it now is, and stops app. 95% of what enters it. Here is an example against a JLT can: ![]() Right is our E2-X design. You can see this is not a small difference, it is a drastic difference and you can test any can and find the results. Good job!!! And as far as the full versus part time evacuation I thought the stock GM catch can on the clean side would take over and trap the blow-by during the WOT or low vacuum phases. Or am I way off here? |

i might have gotten 3oz in 12,500 miles on my LT1. I have a Elite E2 3 port can.
