Brake Pads

I changed mine at 300 miles to the Powerstop pads. Could not stand the brake dust either. Now hardly no brake dust.

I figured they only squeak after a few days of not cleaning the wheels between driving.. Thank you!

I changed to PowerStops as well at about 2500 miles and did not replace or turn the rotors with such low miles on them. The stop pads squeal and dust way too much for me. I actually changed out the Z26 PowerStops for Z23's because the Z26's squealed a little bit when cold. The Z23 don't.

I put Z26s on mine and the wife's car. Squeal in the morning but quiet the rest of the day. That's the only negative on these pads.

Have to take it to someone for repair? As in, it is illegal to work on your own car? Never heard of a law like that...

But, I have heard of apartment and duplex complexes where they will fine you or evict you for working on your car in the parking lot. Is that what you mean?

That is beyond stupid, how can they evict you for working on your car? My complex has that rule but isn't enforced. What is the logic behind that?

No idea, but I have heard of it being enforced. Will have to google that.
