Sucks big time, I'm telling ya
Well actually it's just that I adjust my outgoing sarcasm gauge to match the medium, since it's pretty hard to tell trolling from some innocent fun-poking indulgence on a forum---and don't get me wrong, but it's especially difficult given your post history.

Congrats! Let us know your thoughts after switching to the Camaro - what you think is better about the Camaro, or worse?

My advice for something to do immediately is to replace the small factory pieces of PPF on the rocker panel in front of the rear wheels with larger pieces. The sooner the better. I had the local XPEL installer do mine for $120. He went up to the body panel seam. After a year mine have tons of marks and scrapes which otherwise would have been paint chips.

Installing wider splash guards helps, too. The best solution is to use both, that way you get far fewer scratches and blotches in the film.

+1 for the PowerStop Z26 pads. Not expensive through Amazon, no noticable performance difference for daily driving and it's about 1/4 of the brake dust. That was the only issue I had with the car when I got it.

Other than that, Have Fun and post some pics of it!
+2 on the power stops, but I wish they didn’t do that horrendous squeak for the first one or two stops in the morning. Totally worth it though.

I've honestly never had them squeak. Maybe try a little grease on the backing.

True... on mine, before the car had 200 miles, I put on the pre-painted molded splash guards myself (used a rivet gun for the first time in the process), and then had the installer do the XPEL. The mud flap style guards protect a little more area, but I like the looks of the GM molded guards more.

Either type rock guard is better than none, but neither stops all the damage to that rear wheel area. The PPF is the last bit of defense, but after 3500 miles on mine, there are even chips in the area above the body panel - the aerodynamics direct everything to that area and it's just hopeless to completely stop it.

Install GM color matched splash guards to help with road debris.

Install 3M Pro or Expel clear bra with mirror and rocker protection.

Drive and enjoy the beast!

...and welcome!!

I did put a film of the included grease on when I installed them, maybe I need to put more on.

I tried putting grease on the backing plates. Didn't help for me. I bought the power stop Z26 and had a litle squeal first 1/4 mile in the morning but none after that and no brake dust. I changed to the Z23's and no squeal at all and no dust. I still have the almost new Z26 pads in the box since I only used them for 1K miles. I know I am anal.

Do you have a mustang with the A10 transmission (10 speed)? If you did, which is better GM's or Ford's?
