I have a weird problem with bluetooth calling in my '19 camaro.
My new pixel 3 connects normally to the car and makes a little sound like usual. If I then press the button on the steering wheel to activate voice commands, it gives me an audible message that says "when its safe you'll have to tap the notification" to use wireless handsets. FIX: I had a setting in google voice that was preventing my phone from recognizing spoken commands. I had to enable it. The function now works normally. But it seems that now you do have to allow "google assistant" to have complete control to record your voice (at any time) in order to have hands free calling commands in your car. I don't think this is how it was before. Last edited by protovack; 07-12-2019 at 11:49 PM. |

I can't help you with the problem but why do you not use the google assistant ? Plug your phone, start Android Auto and just say hey google or ok Google to start the assistant. No buttons involved.
