Keeping my Camaro for 9 to 10 years (it's my daily driver) or until the wheels fall off.
I keep my cars as long as possible. The last car I had I kept for 9 years (225K miles) and the one prior I kept for 10 years (250K miles). |

Bought my son his '17 RS V6 A8 new on 9/30/17, when he was 16. He only has 6550 miles on it to date but starts college next month. Hope he can keep it his entire life as his first new car if he so desires. BTW, I still own my '79 L48 vette that I bought in the summer of '87. Looks like I'm keeping it. However, I sold my '70 Chevelle (restored) SS396, ce block, Fathom Blue, white stripes, 4 speed, air, buckets, console, gauges that summer to buy the vette. A stupid decision that I still regret.

Then one fateful day a Mennonite pulled out in front of me and I had no choice but to T-bone them. Destroyed both cars but in the end I got my first Camaro. Black 1985 with a H.O. engine. At least I think it was a 85, but that was like 25 years ago.

Our 2018 Redline SS Vert is paid for and according to GM build statistics only 200 came in the same configuration. I have a history as a "flipper." usually trading cars before they're paid for but I'm keeping this one. The evidence for this is the fact that it is paid off!

I plan on keeping my 2016 a long time. Chevy did get it right for the Gen 6- except the automatic 8 speed trans. It took me two Camaros to get a good one though- because of that automatic transmission.

I bought my 2018 SS 1LE in March 2018...it has 7400 miles on it...traded a 2011 Mustang GT for it. I'm close to 76, and it is the best hot rod I've ever owned. Never washed (frequently detailed and always under cover in my car port) and never boiled the tires, and it gets healthy airing out on a weekly basis. My daily driver is a 2002 Camry Solara I purchased new in November 2001. I plan to keep both cars until I can no longer drive.

Every day I think about keeping mine forever more and more. The modification possibilities are endless...I have a list about 30 items long, many of which I'm not touching until powertrain is up in 5 years.
I figure that when I'm done paying for this one (took a 4 year loan, am paying ahead...should be done in 3), I'll buy a daily driver and start preserving...or tracking...this one. |

Maybe 2 more years. The lifespan of cars in our family is typically 3-4 years. It's nothing against my Hot Wheels. After 3 years , something better has come along. Technology has improved, better options/features. We can usually afford to look at cars that were out of our price range 3 years prior.
I think the longest I've had a car was also the only car I bought used, a 2001 Isuzu Vehicross. Probably would still have it today if the engine hadn't blown. Another reason I like new cars every few years, warranty. |

I don’t believe the press, the C8 will have a manual option. Maybe not at initial launch, but it’s coming.

I'm all over the map. Some cars I keep 5-10 years, others stay 1-2 years.
My 2016 SS Convertible has made it 3 years and 11K miles so far. No thoughts to sell it. One of the best cars I've owned. And it's a long list. |

I bought my '16 knowing it would be a temporary relationship.
It's a car to have fun with and it started out that way. I love the car but all relationships sour. Previously had a pickup for 6 years which I felt was my forever vehicle, traded it in for the SS. I don't feel the same way about my SS....I see myself back in a truck. Soon.
