Now, I could ask Ted to adjust the tune further, but if the reason is in the hardware design that results in input compression between 0% and 20-25% TPS, it may be hard to restore linearity in the tune alone, given the tiny margin to work with. Hope I understood your explanations correctly.

I've been planning on running the zr1 tb. Was actually going to open my intake snout more to get it to work this weekend. There arent that many people that have used it that I can find. So are there any problems running the zr1 tb with a tune? As a comparison, would a stock 95mm tb feel/drive the same as a stock 87mm?

The difference is how and why these TBs are ported. Soler has refined that 0-33% throtle opening and it's a proven hit. Loving mine and no longer using the Pedal Commander to get rid of that lag/ hesitation. |

I too would love to see a video, some drive bys with sticks with manual rev matches.

Arpad, if you had to do it again, would you still go the lt5 tb route? That dead spot you describe is what is making me nervous.

I think you guys are getting too caught up on needing to see a video. It will be very difficult for you to gauge the throttle response by watching a video (especially a drive by video).
Unless someone puts a camera right next to the gas pedal and blips the throttle, you won’t really get a good understanding of how good the new TB is. The accounts of those that have bought and installed the throttle body is a way better gauge than a video.

You know, it's as if the car had "gotten used" to the new TB and were slowly "gravitating" back to its old ways of dead initial pedal travel. It's also possible that I'm now more sensitive and the initial feel of the positive diff vs the stock LT1 TB has worn off. All in all, it wasn't a bad deal. If I could do it again, I'd probably give the Soler a try instead, but that didn't exist back then.
