Hell, I'm already behind the 8 ball...most here did their change way before 5k miles!! I'm just trying to keep up with the trend. My mechanic thinks I'm nuts but most here think an early change on all fluids is a good idea.

The normal maintenance schedule doesn't mention changing automatic transmission fluid, however, the severe schedule says to change at 45,000 miles.

Understood...however, it's been recommended here to change both the differential & tranny early on several occasions / threads, so just being proactive to take care of my girl for the long run. My mechanic was really surprised how dirty the differential was with such low miles. I don't expect the tranny to be bad, but will be interesting to see.
