lt4 Fuel pump on ebay $199

My buddy told me he got a fuel pump that was taken off a totaled 2017 zl1 with less the 2k miles on it. All damaged occurred from the passenger rear side and engine was untouched. I thought this was a awesome idea to save some coin while getting a practically new pump. Whats everyone thoughts on this. I am in the middle of a cam swap on my lt1 and have been debating getting an lt4 pump. And their are plenty of these available on ebay for fraction of the price. The whole lash cap thing makes me nervous. I've heard of horror stories of them coming loose in the engine and cause major problems. Thanks ahead of time.

That is a deal on the pump. I think it is a good upgrade. The lash cap is pretty well specked out (many write-ups). The problem was and is guys putting an uncut lash cap on, which will pound the pump off the car. The LS7 lash cap at .060 takes less grinding. Got NO idea why they sell the .080 cap.... The cap is needed because of the 32% lobe, so you need it no matter what pump you have...
