I've learned not to pay to much attention to the consensus the automotive press has on the looks of a vehicle. I remember when i bought my bmw 1 series, how it seemed every single article or review commented on how the car was ugly. But in person, it looked great! And even now in 2019, i think the 1 series has aged better than the 3 series.
Thanks! Yeah, I REALLY didn't like the nose when it came out and was determined to get a 16-18, but when the $$ numbers worked and I stood in front of it, I was shocked at how much I liked it.

I was on the fence over the 2019's, but they've been growing on me. So now I'm leaning on getting one, if the $$ numbers work out.

That was until this last Saturday when I drove my 2013 1SS 250 miles to trade it in for this bad boy and in my professional opinion, this is the most modern, sophisticated Camaro ever. Photos really don't do the looks justice, when you're standing in front of it, you quickly realize, this thing screams muscle and that's before you even start the car, but the number of features I'm having to learn is astounding even though I thought I knew all about it.
It's also my first standard I've ever owned, which is amazing to think about since I've been driving 33 years, but it is AWESOME. There's so much I could rave about, but it would really take too long, so I'm really here to congratulate the Camaro team on a supreme sports car that they made even better and to say, I'm sorry for everything I called you guys.

Please do a drive by video.

Nice car. Looks great. Now get a Borla S-type axle back to make it sound/look right.

The 19s were not bad looking at all. The problem is that as soon as it came out social media went on a frenzy. And lots of people on social media have more of a hive mind collective thought than independent thinking. So the first person says "oh that looks horrible" and then the second persons before even looking at it says "yea it IS horrible" and so on. I thought the 19s looked good. But I also thought it did not have the appeal of other more mature looking cars in it's price range like the M4. At the price of the Camaro, they are not going to attract people who are cross shopping the V6s and turbo 4 Camaros and EB Mustangs and so on. They are gonna attract people who are cross shopping BMWs and Mercedes and Audis etc. And to me it did look a little too...cartoonish in comparison. A lawyer is going to pick the M4. A mechanic is going to pick the Camaro SS. The problem is tho, that a lawyer can afford both while most mechanics will not be able to afford the Camaro SS. So to me it would not have hurt if they made it more mature looking.

But anyway, congrats!! Enjoy!!

That may be true about the media and perception, but for me it was instantaneous horror, mainly because it obviously was the production version of the T4 Camaro which I still think is HIDIOUS. And you're right about the mechanic part, the muscle attributes are definitely a magnet for me. In all tho, this car still has a level of refinement that Camaros have never seen, well engineered.

Thanks, I am enjoying the hell out of it, ESPECIALLY when some loser in a Camry thinks I can't get around them as fast as I do.

Thanks! But no, I won't be doing any of that to it, those days are long gone, I got that out of my system in my youth. I like the quiet cabin and the quickness to blow by slow pokes with ease!

I've seen a few '19 SS models on the road (two blue and one black) and I think they do look better in person than some pictures portray them. I'm still not in love with it, but I don't dislike it like I used to. I like your car!

LOL. I'm 49. And it's got nothing to do with youth. It's the only modification on my car. The stock NPP exhaust is just so quiet that it really killed it for me as far as having any good sound from the V8.

S-type isn't loud at all. It just sounds awesome. Cabin is still quiet.

LOL, well you ate your words once. LOL!! In 2 months you'll be asking which catback sounds best. HAHA!!

Don't worry. We ALL say we're not going to mod or change anything. And we all do eventually...
