Supercharger boost gauge

I often see supercharger gauge needle going back and forth a little at idle, and sometimes at constant speed on my 18 ZL1. Is it supposed to be going this? I am assuming it should be constant at idle or on same speed.
Correct me if I am wrong. Thanks!

Your boost gauge is perfectly normal! I know you think something is wrong but it’s operating like it should. I know I thought something was up with mine too after I got my Z back in March but it was okay!

A little fluctuation back and forth is fine. These are not super expensive gauges so you gotta expect a bit of fluctuation.

Personally, this gauge has always bothered me. I mean, how can a blower be reading negative? Is it pushing air back through the throttle body? I don't see how that is even possible...

The sensing point is between the blower and engine. So when your not in boost, the gauge reads the vacuum created by the engine.

Cheap gauges and reading vacuum???? What the hell is wrong with the answers...…

Yes, it will fluctuate a touch at idle, cruising and under boost. Just how it is

The engine is pulling more vacuum than the blower is pushing.
