Re: the death of camaro. I have only one question
Everyone is going on and on about, “is the Camaro going away or not?”
Well surly it is not because of this that or the other thing people say. But I have just one question. If the Camaro was NOT going away....well all Chevrolet has to do is issue a statement. What is that statement? THE CAMARO IS NOT GOING AWAY DESPITE ALL THE GOSSIP AND RUMORS ON THE INTERNET! But are they doing that? — Crickets —- I’m not angry at GM. But I am really disappointed. I was looking at a Black 2SS 1LE last week and was ready to pull the trigger. Then....? The egg hits the fan on The Camaro going away. You could say, if you like the car, buy it! And I’d agree. However I am compelled to ask myself just one question. Do I want to buy a car that the company is showing no commitment to? The problem is not the car. It’s the company! Please GM stop being so feckless and stand for something ok? If I’m way off base here please feel free to hammer away on my train of thought. One thing I do respect is the perspective shown on this forum wether it Agee’s with me or not. FIRE AWAY FOLKS! |

Why would a decision for 2023 affect your current purchase??? People are blowing this way out of proportion. A lot can happen in 3.5 years

GM does not comment on future products or programs.

I thought the same...im not sure if this will help sales bc im sort of the same way. I had a camaro and plan on getting another next yr but I am a little weary if they are only going to discontinue it. It will hurt resale even worse I think.
If they are not going to discontinue then they better say something quick if they are worried about future sales as this will only hurt it I think. Its obvious they know rumors are out, and why the freak would they even mention this to an inside team so early?? Its still 4 yrs away and who knows what could happen by then. Ive never heard of a vehicle being discontinued 4yrs in advance which makes me think there is more to this then simply killing it off.

I get that emotions are running high but man....
this is a bit much, why don't we just wait until its not just rumor, then we can freak out.

Sounds like you are making your decision as to whether to buy now or not based on rumors. Regardless what the rumors are, you are going to love that Camaro even more when it's sitting in your garage.

Also, why buy a mass produced car if you're worried about investment value? What's the point, these cars are to be enjoyed and worn out faster compared to regular cars.
Buy it because you want it as is, or you'll never be happy. Guess what, there's always going to be better, newer, gone models and you're gonna miss out on this one. You'll be happy, buy it. |

I've owned plenty of cars. Whether GM discontinues the Camaro or not, there are few cars that give me DAILY satisfaction of driving one. And I'll be satisfied with my Camaro long after GM decides (or not) to discontinue the line.

I hear you. It’s the company’s commitment that gives me pause for reflection. I didn’t say I wasn’t buying the car. I’m just expressing my concerns about GM.

Im not sure about OP, but I plan on getting my camaro and this will not effect my decision.
I am however hoping a 7th gen still comes out and the camaro lives on.
