Congrats on the new ZL1 and of course you got the best color. Did the stripe come on the car?

Not really. I had the GT350 for exactly three years. I was one of the lucky ones in that it did not consume an obscene amount of oil, or have any mechanical failures. Quote:
I really miss the sound of the exhaust, and running to 8250 RPMS on a track, but that's about it. Quote:
Realistically I only go to the track a few times a year in the summer, so I really just wanted something with a little more usable torque off the track. I considered putting a blower on the 350, but without dropping a ton of money on supporting mods I think it would have just been a time bomb. I'd rather put that money into a ZL1. all the Chevy dealerships around me have a lot of nice incentives right now, so it just made sense to pull the trigger. I considered the GT500 for about a minute. It took me close to 6 months to find a GT350 at MSRP. I don't have it in me to go through that process again. I'm happy with my 650 HP and manual transmission. If I get the itch later I can do a couple simple modifications to get close to the same horsepower. Also, I think it's kind of ugly. Quote:
I probably could have, but then I'd need to find a new wife, and house with a garage to store them. |

Congratulations and welcome to the forum and ZL1 club! I’m sure you will enjoy the new hotrod. Nice color choice and no sunroof either!!
