2017 Camaro SS - Lift Points

Guys,

Just recently purchased a new 2017 Camaro SS leftover. I was looking to put my car on a 4 point lift but I was concerned with doing so on all aluminium underneath.

I know there are jack points on the pinch welds and I can order those jack adapters. Is it safe to to put a 4 point lift on other places under neath? Any pictures or suggestions would be great.

Be careful, most dealers dont have any idea how to lift these cars properly. That aluminum cradle up front isnt as robust as you would hope, it will bend.

I also have the factory ground effects which has the lower side skirts and rear and front fascias. I'm going to order the ZL1 addon lift pads in red.

Just want to make sure I wouldn't have issues with the lower side skirts.

Going to order these - https://zl1addons.com/collections/ca...-on-for-camaro

Make sure to have the pads screwed out the the arm. Make sure the arm does not hit the quarter panel. It will break for sure. Use points shown above. Not hard to lift.

You should be able to screw the pads out 4 inches, You should not need the ZL1 addon lift pads. I would not use them on a 2 post lift. If you do not have screw out pads just the the extenter.

Be sure to check your front fenders after. Last time I had my car lifted, the tech managed to push out my fenders.

I prefer this one. Just place it in the center lift spot and it raises both front and back tires at the same time.

No need to go around jacking all 4 corners separately

You wont have any issues. But you can get the same pads from amazon without the Zl1addons logo for $59

you can only lift by the pinch welds in the areas of the picture above. the Zl1 lift pads or mag pad is a must or you're going to bend or chip a weld. the mag pad has to be put on the weld magnetically befor lifting or you take the chance of missing the pinch weld and doing damage to it. get the lift pads use some blue loctite on the set screws and just leave them on. . GM should have included them with the car. they are the safest way to lift these cars on a 2 post lift. https://zl1addons.com/collections/ja...-on-for-camaro

I should have bought a ZL1

Do not waste your money on the lift pads if you are going to use a Benpak lift. Just use the pads on the lift, screw them out so the pad is about 4 inches above the arm. Easy Peasy Then just make sure the rockers do not hit on lift arms, IE look under the when the arms get close to the rockers and make there is enough clearance. If you had a regular jack maybe.

It's the pick that I posted... the black part is the pad and the red is the magnetic part that just clips over the pinch weld.
