I only ran it a few times while I lived there but it always seemed to be lacking grip. And the box was horrible, but I think they have since repaved it..

Just read your thread - appreciate the factual data and back to back testing - very helpful. Amazing you have a streetable car that runs that fast. Kudos.

You'll appreciate the fronts for sure. Less drag down the track on the big end. I originally took off 100 lbs total with the Hoosier slicks/skinnies bias ply and race star wheels. I switched over the winter and added about 40 lbs back on going to M/t drag radials and M/t SR front radials. I'm going back to Hoosier slicks before the Camaro Fest.

I did the same thing on all corners. Race Star Recluse MT 4” and MTs on back. Saves 100 pounds and put 45 psi in fronts.

I weighed all side by side on the same scale. Rear stock wheels/tires 62.5 lbs, race star 17x10.5 with MT 305 Rs 58.5 lbs. Total savings 8lbs Front stock wheels/tires 56.5lbs, racestar 18x5 with M&H 4.5 / 28-18 37 lbs Total savings 39lbs. 47lbs savings in total for me. |

Very cool!
Just as you predicted, it made 135mph before reaching the 9s. I think that when you go to a low-altitude track, your short time will probably be 1.4, and you will have a good chance at getting in the 9s. |

Thanks guys. Yeah low altitude track with a 1.4 60' should let me make a run at the 9s, thinking the trap speed will need to be close to 138.

I may have missed it, but how much weight did the Whipple add to the car?
Amazing how fast your project has become.

I never actually weighed it. You add the whipple and remove some other stuff so I would guess the net add was around 60lbs.
