Yet you still continue with your absurdity...you have no idea how much I struggled when ordering my car in regards to what tranny i ordered, nor did I ever think I would actually pick an auto as my choice for my first real sports car. Furthermore, you didn't even acknowledge I attempted to buy an R or the fact the 500 isn't even offered in a manual currently. I guess all potential 500 buyers cannot shift?? I am beyond thrilled with this A10, it is outstanding. You are acting like an immature twit.

Yeah, I am SO glad I did not end up with an all exclusive, special, & visceral car that has vibration issues, blows up on the track & burns more oil than gas. Super congrats on your purchase...as a fellow Texan, I have to say you are total embarrassment.

First of all, I came here long before you. Second of all, I'm not a fan boi. I don't think that Ford is the greatest car company in the world, and a lot of things they do bother me to no end. I dont give a shit about brands what so ever. I buy what suits me at the time, for the funds that are available. Second of all, I could care less about a test conducted by different drivers on different days. One guy may be a pro, but the other guy's job is literally chassis tuning and design. Didnt the same driver set a lap time on the Nurburgring? I would think a guy that has been driving a certain car since its development phase would do better than a guy that was just put into the car for a much less number of laps. So, back to my point...no, I have not heard of a test done heads up with the two cars. And lastly, doesn't even affect me, nor do I care what car is faster. My GT is over 3 seconds slower than even a 1LE around a track, and I still sleep ok at night. My next purchase will be a used ZL1, as long as I can stick a baby seat in the back. Believe it nor not, that's a review I read before I bought my car. I did have a Grand Sport on order before I found out my wife was pregnant. I'm not here to cause issues or argue with people, I'm just here because I'm a fan of the Camaro as much as I am a fan of the Mustang. You can even go look in the local sections where I have posted numerous times inviting you guys out for weekend drives. Cars are cars to me. If they sound good, look bad ass, and go like a bullet, I could care less what brand they are.

I read that, but lightning lap times are set my different journalists over the course of a week. Its irrelevant. Like I said, same day, same time, same driver, I would be curious. But in the end, still doesn't matter. V8 vs v6, removable top vs fixed roof, useable trunk vs something for my wife to put her pursen in, and $125k vs $500k and asking them to sell me a car. I know which one I'd get, all day every day. ZR1 is a beast. I still like the way the Z06 looks better, just like I like the way the 350 looks vs the 500.

One thing that Chevy does the best is offer people options. Auto, manual, coupe, convertible. Something for everyone.

I have seen twice as many 350Rs here in South TX then ZL1s, and even double that in the 350s. Ppl here are mustang fans and rightfully so. They are a beautiful car and sound amazing but even with that said, I have raced 2 350Rs and it’s not even close. It is fun for them to try and figure out what went wrong after the race. They tend to feel since they paid so much that it should be king of the hill. I for one cannot wait for the 500 to come out. I actually like that there are only a few ZL1s within 50 miles of me. Artos being one of them. Jerk!

Stop with the “Jim Mero is just an engineer” crap... the man has been a race car driver for years an has raced the 24 hours at Le Mans. He is an active poster on CorvetteForum and has said himself that nobody will turn as fast a lap at the ring as he can short of maybe a Nurburgring specialist. He has probably run thousands of laps at VIR and they sent him to run the ZR1 there because nobody will run quicker.

Thank you for back up brother...simply an abhorrent & obtuse attitude. We are certainly outnumbered for sure down here!!

Personally, I love what Ford did with the 500 & hope it delivers...there is nothing like boiling competition to push these HP wars to the next level. Again, I want to Dodge bring another chassis that can turn & keep the fire going. No telling where the next chapter takes us, but to have this puffed up attitude all the while being in an inferior auto ( oh, he knows how to run a manual bless his heart) is simply baffling!!

A) I'm not in the market for a GT500 for the very reason it is NOT offered with a manual. And I don't want to give the R up.

B) Sorry you couldn't swing an R deal. The ADM's were bad for a while. I admit, I got lucky. Even if it was very little under MSRP. The trade on my HC was outstanding.

C) Glad your A10 fulfills you. I drove my neighbors Z06 A8. I could take a bite of turkey club and wash it down with Mr. Pibb waitin on the next shift in that car when paddling it.

D) Some GT500 buyers may not be able to shift...like you...and the DCT will be perfect in their case. I mean let's do a little profiling here. The initial percentage of GT500 owners will probably be in the blue hair age catergory and have bad knees and elbows. I could look forward getting a lightly used one that seen Cars and Coffee duty.

E) No question the 17 GT350's seem to have had more oil consumption issues than any model year. I'd advise anyone to choose an 18 or newer. There was a new ring and piston pack installed from model year 18 on. It should be noted that the R engines have been outstanding in any model year and the model year 19 regular GT350 and the R truly do share the same engine these days. Twas not the case previously. At least Ford addressed the issue. Current replacement engines are the 19 MY R engines btw.

F) A Texan whose Daddy taught him how to shift.

Those R owners are idiots if they think they can hang with a ZL1 in straight race. It's not the R's focus. The low end just isn't there. All the music and fun happens after 4k rpms. Some like it some can't stand it. I prefer to shift around 3500- 4000 just normal commuting.

I would say if SlitherAss moved from Texas to Louisiana he would increase the average IQ of both states.

That's not very "neighborly" of you. I see you chose the M6. Did you get it from Classic? That's where we bought my wife's Z51 vert M7.

Well he certainly cannot address any factual issues to the argument other than irrelevant passive aggressive comments...it's certainly not worth engaging any further. Bottom line we are in the better & faster vehicle regardless if it's turns or straight line.

Oh, the 350 sounds better but it's really hard to hear in the rear view mirror.
