You could also hook it to the underhood connections and find a spot you like up there to do the same thing.
Ironically the "Camaro" branded CTEK one that is the factory RPO option, just has hardwired alligator clamp leads, it's not like the other CTEK's I've seen with the removable plug harness. I guess Chevy cheaped out on their branded unit. Kind of annoying, I really wanted to just hard install the harness in the trunk as I back into the garage so putting it on the terminals in front will be a bit of a hassle.

My most recent ZL1 came with the CTEK charger too. When My current tender dies, I am going to install the plug on that units output, to match the plug in the cars pigtail.

Its a lot easier to pop, the trunk via the factory button and access the wiring, than to have to open the hood every time. As thin as the sheet metal is on these cars, touching the hood is risking damage.

Even though my '17 was on the factory trickle charger while car sat over the winter in a heated garage, the battery was dead when I tried to start it up the other day. Power pack, direct boost...nothing worked. Had to have it towed to dealer to get warranty battery replacement. Dead cell issue. Dealer tells me it's a common issue with GM batteries and they've taken delivery of new vehicles with dead batteries.

I have had this issue with my 17 ZL1 twice now. I did leave it sit too long without starting it I guess. I mounted the trickle charger cord set under the hood at the remote terminals. The cover with the red button on it will unclip and there are (2) spare remote connection posts under that cover to pretty up the install. THOSE TERMINAL POSTS ARE METRIC a 1/4-20 nut will not fit on there.

I pull my car into the garage so under the hood works better for me, I am going to try and get those leads out through the grill or side vent so I don't have to keep opening the hood. I wonder what is in these cars that pull these batteries down? There are no lights or pumps running, surely the computer isn't doing it...
