Anyone know what a "whoosh" sound is when at high speed? It happens precisely during a shift (A8) and I was thinking exhaust leak? But it only happens during very high speed/high rpm shifts. Sounds like its coming from the passenger rear side of the car (or possibly underneath). Still learning this car (2016 SS) and not sure what this sound is. Actually sounds pretty cool and if it was a leak wouldn't I hear it all times?

My car (stock) will cut spark briefly during a 1-2 and 2-3 shift while WOT. The engine does this to drop torque for an instant to let the tranny do it's thing. Then once the shift is complete a few milliseconds later the spark returns an the exhaust will make a brilliant CRACK! like a 22 gunshot as the fuel ignites and engine roar returns. The car kicks me in the kidneys and I rocket off to handcuff speeds.

Auditory bliss at WOT is by far one of the best things about the vert.

Your profile doesn't say if you're 1SS or 2SS, so if you don't have NPP exhaust this may be the woosh you hear, in which case it's completely normal!

This may sound silly, and I know you're saying that the sound seems to come from the passenger rear side or underneath. But is it possible that what you're hearing is the sound tube doing its thing by amplifying intake noise into the cabin?

Remove the stupid sound tube. You'll need to block it off on both ends.
