Zl1 1le dyno question

What’s going on guys just took me 2018 zl1 1le with 1600 miles to the dyno. Cars stock with the exception of a air box mod with a k&N drop in. Car ran fine on the dyno however the torque numbers were extremely low, by looking at the graph the torque didn’t seem to go up at all just stayed flat throughout the pull. Anyone know why this could’ve occurred? Wheel spin? Strapped to tight? My error? Tech error? Dyno error? Anyone’s input would be awesome thanks.

A torque curve should be mostly flat, that is optimal. But your torque numbers are unusually low. They do not appear to uniformly cross the HP curve at 5250 rpms as would be expected. Finally, the disparity between HP numbers between the three dyno runs is significantly off to me. Something was not right. What does the shop say?

The chart is in mph not rpm, and the Red line was definitely in a different, taller gear than the blue and green.

They should know better.

Yes I pulled in 4th then he told me to pull it in 5th. They said their dyno is accurate and that’s what I was making, also they said it was hot. I told them there’s no way cars stock should’ve atleast broke 500, no way heat would take away 150 rwtq and the torque curve looked very flat to me. don’t care about numbers just put it on there cause it was free. Not worried about it just was curious for my own future knowledge as to why the torque curve didn’t look straight and continue to climb.

Something is wrong with their dyno and it seems like they were using the wrong gears. I just recently dynoed mine in South Florida and while we didnt read the torque, I didnt do a pull anywhere close to 160mph.

Yea I know it was Defiently strange to me that’s why I ask to put it on here to get some answers. There’s another forum member who put my old lt4 blower on his fbo 17 1le and his first pull was 435rwhp and his last was 480 his graph did look good. Mine however looked very off. Still don’t understand how the hp curve looked good but the torque curve or should I say line looked very off. Thanks
To everyone who responded I really appreciate your input guys.

If I was still in Florida, I would take it to Redline in Pompano and talk to Howard.
