I think the LT1 will have the FE3 (SS) suspension...This is what is used for the V-6, t-4 1LE...
The SS 1LE has FE4 suspension upgrade. .. I think that is correct. If not, probably won't take long to be corrected....lol...The LT1 will be a combo of RS appearance, etc. and some SS bits, but not all of either one... |

Or you're full of crap and making assumptions on something you don't know. But if so, why? If it made zero sense, why offer the LT1 package at all since they already have a 1ss. The same argument can be used there. |

If you add the 1LE to the LT1, you're going to have to charge more than $7,500 for it because you're not upgrading the same parts compared to 1SS. What I mean by that is the base parts on a 1SS are not the same as the LT1. Since the brakes are different and since the LT1 likely doesn't have the same cooling, the price gap between base parts to 1LE parts is larger. That means they would have to charge more for 1LE on the LT1 and that would mean the cost difference between LT1 1LE and 1SS 1LE wouldn't be large enough to warrant offering it. It would also mean that they likely wouldn't be able to use the LT front bumper, because of the cooling. That means you're basically buying a 1SS 1LE. See the problem yet? |

![]() There is reason and there is "shop talk". Outside of $$, there is complexity and rationality. One just needs to ask themself, is it even reasonable to think GM would go through the added complexity of basically making a different version of the SS 1LE, with that difference only being the front fascia? One that does NOT provide the same flow surface area as the SS front fascia (especially think in regards to a V8)?

I'm not saying there is or will be. I'm saying there may be. No one thought there would be a v6 and especially a 4 cylinder 1Le. LT1 1LE also would not require new parts. The whole point of the LT1 package is partially due to the backlash from the SS update. |

The most frustrating part of all of this is that you love to speak in definitive terms when you have no idea, you're just making assumptions and acting like you have inside information and know the answer because you work at a dealership. Your job gives you no inside information. |

Are we talking about giving the LT1 the SS 1LE bits or the V6 1LE bits? Cause if it is the V6 1LE bits, you're just making it an 1SS again. If SS 1LE, not seeing the savings is coming from? What was removed from the 1SS to make it cheaper would be added back in...... |
