Thanks, after reading this it pushed me to cancel my order. I have been waiting since April 19th for my BMR lockout kit to ship. I ordered it from Wildhammer. They said it’s a drop shipment and BMR keeps telling them a new ship date every time the original date BMR gave them passes. So F that. On to the next thing.

Sounds like the ZLE cradle upgrade has been discontinued. So what other option do I have?

I'm still happy with the lockout kit and control arms. The bolts cost $26 shipped, and I'll replace them. No big deal, now that I know. Unfortunate f-up on the part of BMR, though. They should ship the bolts to everyone they sold these kits to, along with an explanation. That would be the right thing to do.

Not sure which side gets the longer or shorter bolt, but if they were accidentally swapped and you tried to put 120lbs on the short one, on the long side, I could see an issue.

I am getting new bolts tomorrow and once I know, I will post.

11611264 is listed as an "Engine Cradle Bolt", but I wondered if I should have included it after I posted that since it's shown on the rear subframe parts diagram.

I ordered two of each (they're cheap enough), and I'll measure the bolts that come out when the time comes.

Hopefully someone with access to a shop manual can dig up the torque procedure for us.

I’ve been following this myself and also have the BMR kit installed. Decided to contact BMR directly to see what they had to say. I have to say I was a bit surprised by the answer. I’ve pasted the email response below for everyone (he also gives the correct part numbers for the GM bolts):

The cradle bolts and all of the trailing and control arm bolts are
torque to yield or a 1 time use fastener per GM. We designed and released
all of these parts before the service manual was available to the public,
and we never went back and checked any of this info until now. We have sold
hundreds of these kits as well as sets of arms and this is the first
instance of a failure that we know of. Our own 2016 Camaro that we designed
and tested all of these parts on has been taken apart and put back together
multiple times and still uses the original bolts. We are changing our
instructions to read that GM recommends that the bolts not be reused and
will be including the GM part numbers(Listed below). We apologize for this
inconvenience. Please let me know if you have any further questions

GM Part # 11247921 front cradle bolt quantity of 2 required

GM Part # 11611819 rear cradle bolt quantity of 2 required

Well, I applaud them for being honest. Very refreshing. Glad this has been brought up before anything major happened.

I'm going to install those 4 bolts and move on, and enjoy the BMR suspension upgrades.

Do we applaud the Car manufactures for this type of response. Example

"hey we know your Wheel studs could brake so here are the updated part numbers for them they are $100 bucks and just get those taken care of if you're worried. "

Thats a low expectation for honest. Honestly would be them proactively trying to communicate this to anyone and everyone they can.

Im sure they have a presence on forums and could easily start a thread.

BMR's lockout kit is an amazing enhancement to the lackluster GM setup. The mere fact that one member here had an issue with retorquing a factory bolt should not shy people away from this kit. I wasn't there to witness this bolt being reused/retorqued, but the failure could be due to user error (no offense). GM's bolt quality could be to blame also. My suspicion is the bolt was potentially misthreaded or in a bind as these are "blind holes". Attempting 120 ft/lbs of torque on a misguided bolt will lead to the failure described. My bolts retorqued without fail just as BMR's test car 6th Gen. BMR's response to this issue was appropriate & timely. I have nothing to gain but I feel they will lose business from a single spurious post that says nothing of the quality of their suspension pieces. BMR has a proven quality setup, and I stand by their ability to engineer beyond GM's standard issue cradle bushings.

Well said Stephen12ZL1. I shared the response from BMR because I found it to be transparent and honest. That’s what surprised me, a quick reply that didn’t make excuses or dodge the issue. Just their straight opinion of the situation, examples of their experience and even the part numbers if you still had any doubt. BMR stuff works, the lockout kit absolutely fixes the problem it was designed for, and this single posting shouldn’t deter anyone from their products.

While I also applaud their response, this is a car that is well into its fourth model year of production. Part of their due diligence in bringing parts like this to market is instructions that include accurate torque specs/procedures for installation, which also encompasses things like TTY bolts.

A really smart move would be to include the bolts with the kit.

BTW, the instructions linked on the product page still haven't been updated...

Is it even possible to order the 1LE aluminum cradle bushings anymore? I saw on some other posts everyone says sold out or discontinued.
