Rear Seat Delete with exhaust noise?

Getting ready to do rollbar with rear seat delete kit through Garage Therapy NC, and am curious about additional noise when removing the rear bench seat?

Has anyone experience increased noise. I have a full system ARH Catless headers to mid pipes and Corsa Extreme axle back. Already the loudest car I have been in. How much if any additional noise will be expected with a rear seat delete kit?

Thought about doing the same. If I do, I will adding some sound deadening to the rear area and trunk.

If you want to get a close idea to how much noise you’ll get, just fold the rear seats down and drive around.

I run kooks 2' inch headers / off road connection pipes and mbrp race catback exhaust while being cammed and it isn't bad at all. just depends if the car is your daily i guess and if you like hearing those bald eagles leaving your exhaust tips

You could consider buying the Shrader back seat elimination kit and put sound deadener on the underside and back of it. That may work for you.

I read a post a month or so ago where the ZL1 owner commented how much quieter his car was after adding sound deadener and an after market trunk mat on top of the existing one. I'm pretty sure this was with the rear seat in place. He estimated a 10db reduction, which is substantial.

Even with sound deadening the trunk will become an echo chamber for the exhaust and road noise from the rear wheel wells. The seat bottoms and backs make a tremendous difference in noise reduction.

GT did my cage and rear seat delete. No noticeable increase in sound level IMO - but I haven’t been that focused on it. GT does great work!

Completely different platform, but only experience I have was when I once briefly removed the simple thick foam rear bench in my Evo 8 while working on the fuel system, and drove it around the neighborhood testing before replacing everything.

The noise increase was remarkable, the way every engine and road noise was transmitted and amplified in the cabin it almost sounded like I had removed the sheet metal under the seat as well. It sounded terrible.
