There would have been 15,000 pages just on how stupid those Rally Sport Bumperettes look on a 70 Camaro , they did not go over well back then . Nothing was as bad as when the 3rd gen Camaro came out , i seen grown men cry over that ,would have burned the internet down. Gotta love the old Iron Duke Camaro.

Funny thing about the Camaro people back in the 1970s was they didn't car about how many cars sold in a month or cried about where the Chevy bow tie was , they just enjoyed their cars and drove them.

Nope, the moronic voter did this. They voted for the higher gas taxes. Oh, then there is the hidden surcharge that the Governor "is checking in to" wink wink.

Gas was much cheaper in PA for me too, but their roads are garbage and the lack of funding for their annual repair due to them destroying it with their own salting of said roads on top of the general age of most of the roads hitting up against the lifespan of regular concrete ...shows.
Actually they are diverting that money in part toward Bicycle Lanes. WTF? They Lied.

Gottem on the quarter panels of my Chevelle. I don't think they ever made a Super Sport Camaro though. SS yes, Super Sport, no.

The camaro just isn't getting its piece of old money that usually goes to the Corvette that is increasingly becoming the main market for new "pony/muscle car" sales.

If chevy wants to get into the 20 -30 something market and stay there it needs to stay in a price range that is reachable by those buyers and it needs to be relevant. I'm just not sure if high performance cars are relevant in general at all to young drivers. Even if the camaro is affordable to a generation of car buyers who can't even manage to move out of the house until their mid 30's.
The other issue is 20-30 year olds aren't getting drivers licenses like they used to, and they want earth friendly hybrids and electric cars if they do drive. It's a sad shift in society I'm afraid.....

If you rent a 19 V6 from one of the big outfits I expect that’s exactly the interior the LT1 will have. I personally wouldn’t be satisfied with it but it is certainly adequate other than two big flaws. The base stereo is so bad you’ll think something is wrong with it, and the burlap they call cloth upholstery is out of an 1980s economy car. The cloth upholstery in my wife’s 2012 Equinox is worlds nicer.

Between gas lines on alternating days, emissions controls neutering even V8 performance, the softness of the cars despite the seemingly hardcore "Z28" stickers on the sides, and a tacky single piece foam front end replacing what had once been the very cool split bumper of the earliest 2nd gen Camaros for pedestrian safety, enjoying what they could of their cars and not thinking about what once was must have been the only way many stayed sane.

The 70s were an awful time. Let's try not to repeat them.

Like there really was an internet in 1970. Other than the government's Arpanet.
