You may have also heard that oiled filters can damage your mass airflow sensor (MAF). Let’s nip this right in the bud. Usually the only way for something like this to happen is if you over-oil your filter when re-applying the oil. If there is too much oil on the filter, some of it can get sucked in through the cotton gauze and damage the MAF sensor. This is where you must be careful and follow the instructions on how to clean your oiled filter......."""

I've always preferred dry filters.

It comes down to personal preference - the main benefit to the dry filter is that they are easier to clean and maintain. With oiled filters you would need to wash your dirty filter with a detergent and purchase a servicing kit with oil. For the dry filters you can simply tap the dust out of the filter and vacuum from the outside to clean it.

Thanks for your interest!

Thank you for the response. I have always used oiled filters and clean them regularly, the dry approach has me a bit intrigued.

It’s the dry sound and performance akin to the oiled version?

Yes they are very close. We have seen dyno sheets go both ways

Want to verify that no tune is needed with this set up.

If you are adding our ZL1 CAI to an otherwise stock ZL1, no tune is required! We have seen gains of 20-26 RWHP on otherwise stock ZL1s with the factory calibration. Also notable is the increase in supercharger whine which sounds really cool!

Ok, thank you. My car is 100% stock. Just didn’t want to have to tune it at this point I’m mentally not there yet.

Is there any type of special savings code right now? Web page best way to purchase ?

Thanks

Unfortunately there are no specials upcoming, but the web site is the best way to order.

Thanks!

Okay, I'll bite and ask the obvious: out of curiosity, why did you decide to change the design and remove the hex mesh?
