Headlight adjustment?

Anyone here had to have their headlights adjusted? I think mine are aimed too high from the factory. I've been flashed by other drivers 3 times in 4000 miles. I've owned about 8 other cars with HID headlights and never been flashed. It also seems to me that the cutoff along the right side actually goes up...rather than down as the light gets further out. Very different cutoff pattern than our '16 BMW with HIDs.

I assume they are fairly easy to adjust. I supposed I'll just have dealer check at next oil change (in about a month).

Just curious if anyone else has noticed this.

pretty interested in this, but on a side note i have a lifted 16 Silverado and damn those lights point straight into peoples cars, everytime at night no matter if the driver is on the opposite side of the highway from me i get flashed in that thing, ITS DANG ANNOYING.. but funny at the same time.. if they are far enough i flash back but close it putting my high beams on is just pointless because you won't tell a difference..

just thought i'd share the story lol.

ALL THE TIME!!! I hate getting flashed from other people. It's very frustrating, however the Camaro's HIDs light up the road like a true champion.

+1 Kudos for Chevy doing a good job with the headlights!

This post says non-RS so not sure if relevant... but a google search for "camaro6 headlight adjustment" came up with this and about a half-dozen other threads.

I drove my new ZL1 back from the dealer to my home 1400 miles and was probably flashed by what seemed like 9/10 drivers on the road. Must have happened 20 times. It was nerve-racking to say the least.

Good to know I’m not the only one! The lights definitely do a great job of lighting up the road, so no complaints there! I’ll report back if I can get them adjusted properly.

Yeah it seems to be a hit or miss with the factory headlight alignment. Before buying my Camaro I saw multiple complaints here of owners getting flashed with just the low beams on. I was prepared to align them myself but so far I haven't been flashed once.

if you lift your truck you should be responsible enough to adjust your headlights down so your not blinding incoming traffic seems a little immature, and dangerous IMHO

Other drivers are probably just not used to how bright the new HID's are on most cars

No. There's cars with way brighter lights than Camaros, but are not nearly as blinding to oncoming cars.

IMHO, the issue is not limited to just Camaros. I have seen GM vehicles with crappy headlights, like 1st gen Volts with Halogens, have really high aim from the factory. Is that a GM thing? I don't know.. but I recall Pontiac Grand Am to be stupidly blinding, even for halogens (yes, they were multireflectors and not projectors, but so were other similar cars).

High aiming lights are great, when you are by yourself in a dark country road. But it sucks in the city. People hate you, people high beam back at you, and the light spreads out too far with less concentration on where you really need to see in city/slow driving.
