Spark plug gap
I had ordered brisk plugs one step colder than factory. R14s I know a few of you guys have them as well. Anyone have a good gap range for them?

I bought a set of NGK 6510s, which are also one step colder from factory. I gaped them at .022" and I'm more than happy with the results.

So... the let me see if I catch on. The colder plug as more insulation. I tried to figure out where the application is, and I read about helping with pre-ignition. But if I recall it is used under extreme conditions. Would it be reasonable to think - like in conjunction with high octane which I learned in HS auto shop was slower burning, it also helps the delay in igniting the fuel to reduce pre-detonation? Then also- why tune to such an extreme that one has to take extra steps to mitigate the ping? Why not just back off the timing?
