FWIW - just put PS4S on my ZLE to get me through what's left of rainy season in Portland. While I'll normally track w stock Goodyears, I took the car to PIR last week on the PS4s and was pleasantly surprised. About 1.5 seconds slower per lap than Goodyears over the 2 mile track but super predictable and hung in there for a few 30 minutes sessions. You guys already know the difference on the street - the ZLE becomes much more usable every day with them...

$400 is a ripoff.

The shop I use is a local privately owned shop charges $25/wheel for mount/balance for low profile tires, +$5/wheel for road-force balance, -$5 for normal profile tires. Family owned in business at least a full generation. Non marking sockets and changer equipment, hand torque and air to spec, equipment is calibrated, know how to jack up our cars correctly using lift pads or slotted pucks for pinch welds, the "waiting room" is a couch right on the shop floor so you can watch, and they can get you in all 4 tires changed, mounted, balanced and back out on the road in a lunch break. Best place in town by far.

Never seen a dealer ever be anywhere close to this level of service and value.

I’m cancelling my appointment for Monday with the dealer. No way I’m paying $400 to swap tires. There are two other brand name tire places in my area that I’m going to check with.

Good to know as I have a set coming on the 2015 Z28 time to swap with my stock ZLE rims. I’ll use the ZLEs for the track

found a local shop to do the job for $100. My buddy has his tires swapped every year at this place and he said they are really good at not mangling your wheels.

Had tires swapped over the weekend. $100 plus tax and tip. Wheels didn’t get mangled during the tire swap.

I’ll echo everyone else’s thoughts, the suspension is now much more enjoyable!!!!! I do miss the square shoulder look of the stock Goodyear’s on the car but that’s a small price to pay for the comfort and ease of mind the Michelins bring.

Oh, and no more slinging rocks all over the place !! Money well spent !!

I paid $19.99 per tire for the install at a local tire shop.

The tech was very conscientious, I watched him the first few minutes through the large glass facing the customer waiting area, and he was careful and professional. He even called me into the shop to discuss curb rashes before touching the wheel that had them (it had been me stupidly curbing it while parallel parking in a narrow street). He knew the torque specs even though they handle way more trucks and SUV's than sports cars.

Best of all, when I offered to pay extra for a great job at the end, they refused categorically, saying this was their fair price and they do not gouge customers, no matter the car or the tire.

Dang that sounds like a great place to do business with. Is that shop in Jersey?

Yep, ETD Discount Tire in Denville. Gave me a fair price on the PS4S, too.

Dang! I wouldn’t be opposed to driving up to Denville to get this caliber of service. I’m not too far from there, I’m in Bergen County. Thank you for the heads up.
