I daily drive my 1le in Florida and still have the goodyears on it. Usually I drive in tour mode unless on the track. What do u guys recommend in the rain? Snow/ice mode? Or ptm wet with the shocks and steering locked to tour mode?

My preferred modes for rain...

1. Garage mode.
2. Wife’s car mode.
3. PS4S mode.
4. And when all of those don’t work Snow/ice mode no faster than 50 mph.

Or just learn to treat gas pedal like analog device and not on/off switch.


Any tire that does not hydroplane ( read needs some thread depth n ability to evacuate water ) and at reasonable speed can handle rain.


Rain-X on widnshield n send it in the rain.


TLDR: Good tires, Rain-X or similar

I will put the car in PTM wet mode and keep the speeds down if raining enough for puddles.
Future plans call for Michelin PS4s replacement tires to help with wet work and rock flinging.

I don't think I ever put the car in Snow/Ice mode, not even sure what it changes from Tour.

It has noticeably less response and acceleration is lower... basically feels like a normal car to me, like it suddenly turned into a Civic sedan. Fairly good for rain.

I'm in South Florida and daily'd my 1LE for a year in horrible rainstorms. Snow/ice mode will give the car more gradual throttle response and cuts torque so that the car feels like a normal passenger car. Combine that with common sense, drive carefully, and a decent driver should have minimal issues with one of these in the rain. Avoid speeding, etc. Usual rain advice.
