Wow is that at WOT near redline? If so I'd like to know why I can't seem to run more than 12degrees at an IAT of 130.. Any higher timing and its KR..

Sounds like you're trying to run too much boost for the octane fuel you have. I feel the sweet spot for these LT1s is between 16-20 degrees. If i con't get to 16 degrees of timing at peak power, then I'll normally find more HP by lowering boost until you can get the timing up into this range.

If you're at 20+ degrees of timing and you have enough fuel for more boost, bring it on more boost!

So what your saying is lower boost and more timing is better than less timing and more boost?

Its always a balance, but I find that 15-16 degrees is the min that LTs want to run, lowering boost and getting the timing to that level will most probably result in more peak power.

Thanks!. So ever since the Long tubes my boost went from 10+ to now about 8. If I drop back to the 4.00 pulley it would probably put my boost @ 5+lbs. Maybe I can throw some full e85 on there too. Certainly should be running 16+ degrees of timing. You don't think that would hurt power at all?

I can't imagine only being able to run 12° timing with 93 on that setup. Sounds like false KR. Have you tried boostane or torco to see if it will go away? That will tell you if the issue is octane or tuning.

Ideally you pull 1° for every 1 psi of boost. So if the engine was running 24-25° NA on 93, you pull 8° for 8psi. That puts you 16-17°.

Get the timing up where it needs to be and it's going to feel like a different animal.
