Roto fab CAI

Please be gentle lol I’m a noob to the forum and the SS world. It became clear to me within a few hours that Roto fab is the way to go when it comes to a CAI on a stock SS. Can anyone explain the difference between the oil filter and dry filter? Is there any advantage between them?

Ive been told there is no HP gain on any CAI even though I did read that the Holley InTech CAI for the Camaro upped the HP by 16 and they had the dyno chart to show it but everyone still says no on here. So to answer your question, I dont have a damn clue

It's down to your preference on filter type. Difference is negligible.

Haha, yeah it’s mostly for the sound, appearance and some throttle response. I’m just curious since the dry filter for roto fab does cost more in comparison to the standard oiled one.

That makes it easy then. I’m curious since roto fab charges $20 more for the dry filter when you select it with the CAI purchase.

There is a thread around here that shows a lot of Roto Fab Dyno results from different places, showing that it has a gain. Dyno results of Some of the others are within the error range.

You can see the gains from the Holley InTech here: Most everyone says CAI's dont do nothing but I just dont think companies like Holley & RotoFab would have a reason to lie.

Dry can be better so when you don't have the opportunity to over oil your filter and screw your MAF sensor readings.
