Now all I need to do is work up the nerve to swap up the bowties to the black ones which are waiting to go on.

Hoping the paint stick tutorial is the way to go...

Looks good! Always an improvement in my opinion. i just finished the whole rear with the same plus the dark reflectors and painted exhaust tips. should all be options from the factory!

Took my car into the local tire shop yesterday because, yup....another flat. This time a big @$$ nail right in the center of my rear right tread. As I type this the car is at my dealer awaiting approval of what might be my 5th tire replaced under the wheel and tire warranty. If they decide to patch it and give it back, I'll understand, because truth to be told, that tire needed to be replaced anyway. It was the last original tire left on the car and had over 18k on it.

But, the point of this post...when they walk me out to the car in the tire shop to show me the massive nail in the thread, all the workers are gathered around the car reading my Chris Frech plate. Which of course, begs the question..."what the hell you doing under the hood to check a tire, boys?" Exactly the way I phrased it, by the way. Got a lot of questions and compliments about the car but never an answer to my question. I guess I really didn't need one.

My question would be, how could you not look under the hood?

Yeah I would’ve done the same. I don’t like getting service where I can’t see it. Do as much as I can myself.

But yes these cars do draw a lot of attention. That’s for sure.

I know. Still felt compelled to give ‘em $#!t for it. They were cool about it.

Just got into my hotel room in NYC. Walking distance to Javits Center for auto show press conferences tomorrow. Took my phone off of airplane mode and had a voice mail from my dealer. They’re replacing the tire under the wheel and tire warranty. So now, ALL of my tires have been replaced at least once under the warranty. I’ll pick it up Friday when I get home.

I’m just about there.

Leaning toward the Continental DWS 06. Little bit later this season for sure.

Another very solid tire. Ran them on my last Camaro.

you guys are more up to the all season tires right? whereas we are more for sommer and winter only tires. Probably better grip on high speed Auobahn.

I think I might have stumbled onto something while on vacation.
I am in Key West this week, and aparantly it is very common to rent a convertible and drive it from Miami to Key West....or to just rent one when you land in Key a West.
There are at least 5 or 6 mustang convertibles for each Camaro vert I saw.
Believe me my wife and I were looking, because each time we did see a Camaro we both agreed the H50 was cooler!
What I may have stumbled on is that Rental companies are buying way more rustangs and that might be what is helping boost their sales volume over the camaro. It helped Taurus beat Honda for awhile....well, that and fleet vehicles
I’m ok with it, because too many drives resale value Down...
But also like 5 times a day down here in paradise, I Have been wishing I had my Fifty vert here, because it would be stylin’

Depends on where and what kind of driving. I’m sticking with summer only tires personally. But if I drove mine more or daily drove mine I would go with all season.
