Camaro exhaust upgrade
I just purchased a 2017 Camaro RS 2.0l turbo and I want to make it louder. I really like how the camaro SS sounds, what’s the closest aftermarket exhaust system that sounds like it?

Not sure where you're at in MI, but MRT in the Plymouth area has some really nice setups for the Camaro

The I4 will never sound anywhere near an SS, but you can make it sound way better than the stock setup. IMO, the Flowmaster American Thunder axleback will give you the deepest exhaust note for our car. You will have some drone, but you can't beat the exhaust note.
Head over the the I4 forum. I'm sure you will get many opinions on the subject. https://www.camaro6.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=234 |

It'll never sound like the SS, but that isn't a bad thing.
The vids of muffler-delete i've heard don't sound good at all, to me. You can check out the Borla videos for the 2.0T and see what you like. American thunder is also good. If you want to hear the engine sound more, it also helps to get a CAI and a less restrictive downpipe. Which, if you also tune, can get you 50 hp. There is virtually no restriction in the stock exhaust except for the downpipe, which is why changing it makes such a big performance difference. |

Hi Lantzyt!!,
unluckily, your 2,0 Turbo will never sound like a V8.. it's a matter of physics. On mine, I have gone for a Flowmaster American Thunder axle-back system and I am very happy of it: the weird metallic sound of the OEM exhaust has gone forever!! Give it a try! See you!!, Eos |

Nothing like a SS....I would recommend listening to some sound bites on Youtube of aftermarket exhaust and see what you would make you happy.
