Mystery Trunk Piece - 1LE

Wanted to create this separate from my other Trunk Kit thread, and I am 99% sure I already have the answer, but just in case anyone else had different experience, I figured I would put up a picture of this oddball piece that was in the trunk on delivery:

I have been told it may be a Cadillac CTS part that was accidentally thrown in the trunk at the plant.

Anyone seen this one before?

Looks like an air dam for the front. Odd though that there was only one.

It pulls up as an exhaust shield for a CTS. Was just wondering if anyone ever got a mystery piece (this one or something else)!
