Definitely manual, but would be open to auto if manual completely went away.

Manual. All my Camaros have been manuals.
No need to stop now. I don't need a 15 speed Automatic in a sports coupe.

So far I’m happy with my ZL1 with the A10. It’s not my weekend car or anything and my wife can drive it so I think that’s why I don’t regret the auto. I have a 600hp 1jz RX7 that is my toy so that soothes my manual transmission needs. If it was my only fun car, I might feel differently about it, but I can’t say for sure.

In an Emergency anyone in my family can drive an auto but only I can drive a Manual so I stick with auto's now.

As most others have said, I prefer the 6 speed.
It depends on your priorities. If I really was trying to get every tenth out of a quarter mile run, I'd go auto. For me, I just want to have fun driving the car and a stick is exponentially more fun. My daily driver/winter ride is a stick as well and I have a crazy long commute so you absolutely get used to it.

The A8 is a very nice performance transmission but since I have also experienced the A8 shutter issue I would buy a manual if I had it to do over. Thankfully, I purchased an extended warranty so I really don't have to worry about it until 2022. Then I will either extend again or buy another car.

A10 all day. I have had manual cars my entire life and this thing is awesome to drive. Shifts crazy fast and in performance mode it down shifts better then you can. Got the auto and wouldn't change it

Currently in the market for used 1le. Manual all the way, but then again it will be a fun weekend car only. IMO, can’t beat manual for fun factor.

If I had to do it again i would still get an auto.I used to be a manual guy, but when you live in a city with heavy traffic, auto is my preferred route. I'd rather enjoy the drive and not have to shift so much. if I want to go manual, I just use the paddles. I do enjoy the rev up of a v8 and a long wind through the gears, but scooting in traffic with a manual is a no go for me.

I like having one of each. The autos offer unmatched performance. But sometimes rowing my own gears is fun. If it was one or the other I am not sure which way I would go. It would be a tough choice. But for practicality I would have to pick auto.

I used to drive mundane cars with manual trans, and while an M6 Camaro would probably be way more fun than those, there is always too much traffic in this congested state of NJ.
Overall, no regrets about the A8, it shifts better than I ever could (and especially in performance shift mode), always finds the right gear for the situation, and I'm not a diehard fan of manual transmissions anyway.

The 10 speed auto and M6 are both amazing, no wrong choice here,
But to answer your question, I bought a manual, and would do it again without hesitation

I got the SS so got the manual, since they don't come with Autos anyway.
