0-60 procedure

I made it through the 1st 500 miles and did the 1st 0-60 run

4.5 seconds.....

Put it in performance mode, dry setting. Spun the tires for a split second then it fell on its face and then took off like a bat out of hell.

A10

What are the appropriate settings to get a good launch?

PTM Dry Mode will do that, try Race or all the way off.

Try at a standstill reeving engine 1500 - 1800 RPM and then hit throttle about 1/4 (ease into it) and once the tires grip...floor it from there. You should have better luck.

Great, thanks for the input. I am not expecting a record time, especially @ 6000+ ft elevation, but I would like to at least see a sub 4 second time.

I just did a 0-60 last night for the heck of it. the A10 is new to me. From what I heard the car likes a little preload. So I did a brake stand at 2k rpm in sport mode, nothing else. ran a 3.9 first try.

3.7 off idle. Sport mode. Rolled into the throttle quickly. Not mashed but not eased-into either.

Conditions: 75F, slightly warm OEM tires from a 15 mile drive. Car is/was bone stock.

I answered a similar question the other day on the general forum:

3.8 on the street, stock car (other than CAI and Exhaust), factory tires, and did not feather the throttle.

Settings-wise: I used launch control, had the drive mode in Track, and the PTM in Sport 1. I've been told that these are not the optimal settings, but I suppose the car did well considering I just floored the thing.

Edit: Outside temp was around 75 and altitude was around 2,500 FT.

I would say very unlikely at our altitude, in fact I’d bet it won’t happen, the supercharger simply can not make up entirely for it.
I can tell by the seat of my pants it’s not as fast as they say it is at sea level, still fun though !

Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining at all about the fun factor.

What is your best time so far?

First step. Line Lock.... Get the tires warm. Then sport mode and mash it.... Easy 3.5...

Yes, agree that at these high elevations its def not gonna happen. Elevation here is 3400 ft and DA is usually around 5-5500 ft. that's around .5-.6 for the 1/4.

I haven’t recorded it yet, but will when I get the chance.
It’s kind of a bummer, even a half second is a big difference in acceleration feel, a full second is huge.

Couple test hits on cold tires with foot braking in sport mode with the active whatever it's called in dry1

1st attempt yielded massive, joyful tire spin
2nd attempt with a bit slower throttle input was a 4.2

I have to believe a sub 4 second time is possible. More seat time and some playing around with traction control is in order.
