Time to bring out of storage...or not?
Anyone in the GTA area brought their car out of winter storage yet? I usually wait for the street sweepers to clean up first, want to avoid salt residue and stones, but itching this year to get her out!

I'm with you. I wait for a good rainfall to get rid of all the salt and sand first. The snow last Sunday didn't help.

Not sure about rust or corrosion. Washed the car every 1-2 week.

I agree with Bradford. Just drive the damn car.
People acting like it's an exotic car...it's a damn Chebby. You spent lots of money on it...just enjoy it. |

Pulled mine out April 1st now that the winter parking rules are over so I can park the commuter car on the road. Going to be a good weekend to get some cruising in

Nice Hand Wash planned for this weekend. Some paint cleaning perhaps.
Wheels should be powered coated by tomorrow I hope. Another week or so before I install. Still a few cold days coming.

I never understood babying these vehicles. They're meant to be driven and enjoyed!
Much more value is lost from deprecation than from chips and miles. |

They cost too much to let sit for 6 months, especially if you cycle through cars every few years, then all you're doing is saving it for the next guy. I drove my Charger SRT 392 all year long and I'll drive my 1LE year round as well. A guy in my condo drives his Mclaren in the winter when the roads are clear, which is almost always in the GTA.
Up north I wouldn't drive them though, I don't think you physically could due to the amount of snow and the low front fascia |
