Good afternoon Becky,
I'm not sure why I still feel like there's got to be more organization to all of this than it seems. I can't believe there is no itinerary for each vehicle. The thing about an itinerary is that as obstacles are encountered it is adjusted. It seems as though, as soon as a vehicle is scheduled for production, there would effectively be a plan to get it to the dealership. I just want to believe that some computer knows what the current plan is for my vehicle and that it includes some tentative dates. It just really floors me that there are 2 more Camaros on a train heading to my dealer while mine is still 4B00 in Michigan. According to the VINs one was built 802 vehicles behind mine and the other was built 3030 behind mine and yet they are 4200 while mine sits in Lansing. Same origin - same destination but they left without me. Am I just thinking about this wrong? Is it a couple of guy standing around with rocks and sticks figuring all this out? Please don't get me wrong, I know that none of this is your fault and I'm certainly not intending to vent this in your particular direction. My dealer has told me that what they see on Workbench is exactly what GM sees and there's no way to get any more information. I think they are lazy! I think the Dealer Business Center could get more information but you would know better than I would so that's why I'm sending this. Thanks for any wisdom you can share. |

The availability of rail cars & transport has been challenging for sometime. Vehicles are loaded & processed - as they are available to complete rail cars. Trains are assembled in a very complex way - considering the loads. The orders when built - are going spread across the country. The VIN's are not assigned in numerical order - - they are randomly assigned - Cadillac's are also built in Lansing. Your order shows - Midwest City, Sooner Yard - Distribution Center - at arrival Your dealer can look at the order for "Event History". If/when - a rail car is assigned - it will show there. Sometimes - there doesn't seem to be any reason... ....but it will move soon... BTW: I have - 3 - currently going to different areas of the country.. ....and they haven't moved yet too. .......................................... Again....
