Suspension "Pop."
I have about 6,000 miles on my 2018 SS, Auto, Vert with Mag ride. Several times, while taking a low speed, hard left into my angled driveway entrance, I've noticed a loud "pop" or "bang" from the supension during the turn. Has anyone else experienced this, and should I be worried about it? Performance of the car in other respects has been absolutely normal before and after these occurrences.

My Grand Sport does it all the time but it is normal has to do with the width of the tires. They are so wide they skip across the asphalt at times at low speed full lock turns. In my SS I have heard it once not as offend as on the vette but it is the same noise.

Need to check your sway bar end links, they are known to get loose and pop like that.
Here’s a link, there are many more, just do a search. https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showt...oose+end+links Last edited by 1hprush; 03-31-2019 at 09:45 AM. |

Thanks for the help everyone. I've got an oil change coming. I'll have the end links checked then.

However, my dealer has replaced the nuts and end links twice now and it will come back after a few hundred miles

I’ve noticed it recently in my 16 SS but when I back out of my driveway while turning. 15,000 miles.

Oddly enough i had the same issue at 25k miles and it was not the endlinks...it progressivly had gotten worse so with the help of a friend we figured it out. The front lower rear control arm bushing sleeve had a significant amount of clearance to the bolt diameter... This would cause the control arm to rock back and fourth on the bolt inside the metal sleeve. Not only did this reak havok on my alignment woes but had a noticable pop and eventually visuall tire movement in lock to lock. Check your ca bolt torque is to spec, or slightly over. I ended up going aftm...
Sure this may have been a defect but i did buy a new ca and same issue ... I run the car hard year round on crap NE roads with 12+lbs boost, wheels are 20x10 and 20x12 with 275 30 20 and 335 25 30. Rear has 3mm spacers. 45k miles, 25k on boost
