Now that the weather is back into the 70s now on a warm road with the sun shining on it and smooth, just paved surface I can do 3.8, that's with competitive mode using launch control, I can't do any better with TC off. I've got Michelin pilot sport 4s in stock size. The limited traction kills these cars. I've got a ported intake, e85, and arotofab but that stuff is negligible compared to getting traction. If you're not getting at least 4.2 I think you need to find warmer place and smoother road.

Thanks for reply and info - that's a very respectable and nice number (3.8)! clearly the E85, porting, cai and tune made a difference. but agree, I need to try more... the days here will get into 80s shortly.

Was still wondering if anyone saw any results from suspension changes.... or is it as good as it can get on street rubber.

I think putting some more positive rear camber into the rear would help a lot for traction. Mine is set as high as it can go at -.9 degrees, but getting a lot closer to zero I think would help. Unfortunately it looks like we need adjustable aftermarket control arms to get any more camber stock.

I just tried this for the first time today, A8 sport mode in D, just stomped on it 4.2
Hooked decent for a back road, 4.0 factory probably easy on prepped sticky track

Practice, practice, practice. Driver skill improvement is the best mod to get the most out of your car.

The time of the car timer I think is without rollout. All the manufacture's specs are given with rollout. So rollout should subtract about .2-.3 seconds to the time, so if you are getting is 4.2 you are probably right at 4.0. I think the E85 and porting have helped a little too, but by far the biggest variable is getting traction. I actually haven't been able to get 3.8 since later winter time, my tires may be getting too worn, not sure.

OK, this one i had to look up (what roll out was, that is). Interesting. and agreed, many variables, even location and weather. but, practice is FUN.

My fastest is a 4.2 and that was spinning in 1st gear, I get zero traction with my Nitto NT555's in 285/35/20. I just have a tune & k&n intake for performance mods. Tires are key, need to hook. Next spring I'm getting MRR SS 1LE wheels and upgrading to 305's. Should help a lot.

I'm hoping to install the BMR Lockout kit along with the upper / lower trailing arms this week...I purchased to help minimize the fishtailing issue the ZL1 has at WOT & any wheel hop. If it helps with the 0-60 I'll take it.

This will be my first mod on the car.

I agree with Dixie. Practice will help a lot. You could step up to the 1LE rims and tires. More rubber = less spin. TC off or not you'll find it's a lot harder to spin 305s on the back than it is to spin stock SS tires.
