No I rarely floor it, that’s more of a “oh look, an empty road and I want to have a little fun and hear the engine” thing. Warmer temps? Hmm. So warmer temps being above 50? 60? Curious how many months of the year this would be hard to drive in Colorado. From November to April it’s rarely above 50. That would suck if I couldn’t take it out in the winter on dry roads and drive it.

Changing the tires to a PS4S would do wonders for this car on the street in a wider temperature range. That's where i'm going next...the GY's just aren't the best choice for DD.

The Z06 and Zl1 are both traction limited. They have too much torque for a RWD only setup. The tires and roads need to be warm and even then you need to learn to feather the throttle. It is a lot of fun to overpower the tires and chassis but it also can get annoying after a while when you are more interested in just putting the power you paid for down to the pavement. The SS 1lE and Grand Sport Corvettes manage this better but the real solution at these power levels is AWD or put a lot more weight over the rear tires. It am curious to see the result on the mid engine C8.

If youre willing - R888R seems to be the best tire for cold traction - incredible cold traction - after 1 pull I was able to go WOT 1 - 2 with all nannies off in 50 degree weather. There might be other tires that can do this too (so not saying there aren't) but the R888R has the most impressive cold on throttle tolerance. Just a thought

The ZL1 might be too much car for me. I might as well just buy a Corvette Stingray if it’s a Stingray vs a 2SS. Corvettes have always been a dream of mine since I was a little kid but so has the ZL1. But damn if you’re spending 60K, I don’t even know anymore! |

Just an FYI regarding the PS4s. I juts sold my 18 Hellcat. I had 20x12's and 345's on the back. BONE STOCK I could still spin the PS4S's in 2nd gear when warm. When my 1LE A10 comes in, I will be switching to the R888r's. Im sure the PS4S will have a wider Temp range, but when warm will not be as sticky as you may think.
