That C7 is gonna be a lot of fun with the Procharger!
Definitely post your experience and numbers

It's been raining almost everyday in ATL so I haven't had much chance to put the Mickey Thompson's on

I do think they are all fun, but have had the Procharger on both auto and manual and thought it was much more enjoyable with the manual. That’s just a personal preference. But I am thinking about options for my stingray which is a manual transmission.
Any particular reason you say the procharger is more fun with a manual? I've got an m6 and am looking at getting boosted for the first time ever this summer and from the few threads I've read, others are saying that a pd blower is better with a manual because you don't fall out of boost on shifts. Just curious why you are saying the opposite?

I prefer to use the No Lift shifting that comes standard with our cars and not experiencing any boost loss between shifts.

I was thinking about the torque. The PD blowers: Maggie, Whipple, LT4 blowers just put down so much more power down low that it’s crazy. With an auto, it’s really easy to modulate the power with the go pedal. With a manual, it’s a little harder. That’s why I was thinking about returning to the Centri on my m7.

I went back and forth and after owning all of them, PD, Centri, Twin Turbo, I went with the PD on my Vette also. For me, with modest to lower boost, the fun factor with the PD blower is just miles ahead of the centri or Twins. For me, that changes when you starting adding a bunch of boost.

Why?

When you add more boost, let’s say 700whp and above, now both the PD and the Centri/Twins have more power than the tires can handle and the lag of a Centri turbo could arguably become a benefit because the power builds vs being slammed on immediately.

In my opinion, up to 650whp, I will go with the PD 100% of the time simply because the low end power is so much more fun based on how I drive the car (mostly around town with very little highway). If you drive differently, or if you are building for a different use case then perhaps that’s different for you. I have found that too many times people fight for their preference, which really just means defending their decision...because they don’t have experience with the other setup.

My recommendation is always the same, pick your tuner and then talk to them
And go with their recommendation.

That's a very enlightening response. Thanks for taking the time to write all that out and share your experience! Sounds like PD for me, since I'm only looking at getting to about 550-600 rwhp. Now its time to find a tuner in Michigan to start discussing this with.
