Driver door alignment with Rocker panel

Hello, my driver door is not aligned with the rear rocker. Is there a way to adjust this?

The dealer should be able to adjust the door under warranty. Pictures would help if you're looking for advice.

It is a minor detail but noticeable to me. Attached are top down views of the area, driver side vs passenger.

Thats pretty far off. Kind of surprising considering the way door are affixed in the factory. Could be previous damage.

I don't know about NY laws but in many states, dealers do not have disclose damage (ie test drive gone bad, car hauler unloading damage, door dings caused on the lot etc) if repairs stay below a certain threshold. In OH it use to be below $2k or something like that, NC its less then 5% of MSRP etc. I worked at a body shop many years ago and this rule was well known and if one car took 'a little more' to repair, we would float it over to the next one.

Only way to know for sure what you are getting is to pick it up from the factory or watch it get unloaded and skip the dealer prep.

Somebody jacked up the car without using the proper pinch weld lifting point designated by GM. Unfortunately that's a very common problem.

The door and fender were damaged in a gust of wind. Any way I can repair this myself or do I bring it back to the body shop?
