hp tune files

My car is now tuned with SCT BDX for my current mods but im going to get it retuned with HP. adding E85. If I buy a MPV12 can i download my current modded file from the ECM with the MPV12 and save it as just a file that i can re enter into the car after I use the sct to put it back to stock. I want to unmarry the sct. I also want to download the stock GM file. Im going to be buying a MPV12 with 4 credits then driving to my tuner in May. so I want to have the modded file in when i go. My brother needs the sct now to do his Silverado speedo and trany corrections. I want to drive my car in April with the modded tune. It ran way to ritch with the stock tune and my mods.
so basically are HP files just files or does it only allow 1 tune to be downloaded from the ecu and then it considers it a stock file. I want to download the modded tune file with hp then put it back to stock with the sct. Then download the stock file with the HP.

You can connect HPT to the car now and D/L the the current SCT tune. Then use the SCT and flash the car back to stock. Then D/L that tune as your stock tune. Then you can do a comparison log in HPT and it will compare both tunes and you can see the areas where the tunes are different.

i would make sure the tuner who is going to do your E85 tune will use your MPVI, not all of them will. If you license your car to your MPVI and then flash the SCT tune back into the car it will use the credits you are buying. If that shop wont use your MPVI to tune the car for you then you will be out the credits again to the shop along with whatever they charge for their tune.

does the SCT lock the ecm/tcm? that would throw a monkey wrench in your plan.

my tuners fine with using my MPVI2 and i bought it from him. i do not know if the SCT tune is locked. it is a custom tune so i believe its up to the sct tuner to lock it or not.

well it wasnt locked but the only thing i can find different in the stock tune and my modded tune is the reduced power table in spark. stock is -15 modded is zeroed out. and the airflow was change. power hop in TM the stock tune that my BDX put back in the car matches the stock tune I got from HPtuners in the Tune Repository.

Did you view compare log? Or go page by page?

That’s what they gave you for your current mod list?

What about vtq and dd tables?

i compared the stock and modded tune files page by page. those were the only green boxes. i then compared the stock files from the tune respiratory. my stock file matched that. is there a way i could send you the files if you want. im dont know much about tuning. how do i find vtq and dd. im not tuned for E85 yet
