Good Time to upgrade to ZL1 1LE

Good Time to upgrade to ZL1 1LE? GM deal for March is 15% off or 0% financing on 2018 models. I'm seeing new ZLEs down in the 57-59K range

FYI - you don't get the 0% with the 15%. Nevertheless, very good deals out there. Sales like these will hurt used car values. I see guys trying to sell their low mile used ones for $65-$68K. That ship has long sailed.

My thoughts exactly! It's funny because just a few weeks ago I was looking at a used ZLE on here in the mid 50's thinking "wow what a deal." Seems that fella was ahead of the curve.

Current true ACV (actual cash value) on a ZLE is about $54k to $56k by the books.

Keep in mind, not everyone is going to buy a ZLE right now for $57k to $59k. If you look, most dealers are selling them for $62k IF you qualify for all discounts. There are some dealers that are really cutting them to get rid of them in the high $50's. But they are few and far between. The ones that do, are selling very fast. The demand for new ZLE's at $59k are much higher than supply, so by the laws of economics, the price will rise above $59k as the supply diminishes. Get them while there are some left. Once they are gone, the prices go up for buying new ZLE's, because only the 2019's will be left and they arent 15% off currently.

Not sure when 19 bigger incentives will kick in, but they will based on #s produced vs. selling of all flavors. I’ve never seen so many SS’s in rental fleets around the country (19s). If they tweak the SS front, that won’t help, plus more ZL1’s of all flavors seem to be made vs demand. Add in the GT500... I’m leaning towards an A10 ZL1 1LE and let my sons race my SS 1LE, but, I might get an early one or wait to see what later in the year brings for incentives.
