ZL1 strut tower brace

Does anyone know if a strut bar from a 2SS will fit on a ZL1?

No (won't clear the SC lid), and it's really not needed bud. The chassis is mega stiff!

It's braced to the firewall, not sure if SS has that same bracing.

You could run a BMR one if you really wanted, but I don't think it's needed.

I went with the BMR for looks...IMHO, it ties the engine bay together!
That's all that mattered to me! Any performance increase was an extra benefit!

^ this, I love the look. It's the BMR model STB020. I am getting this too. It's the only one I can find for the ZL1.

I have to say after having the BMR STB020 on the car for a month or so it definitely helps with the wandering the F1 Supercar3's do in the ruts in the road and on those same roads in the rain. Doesn't solve it, but does make it less drastic.

I really find that hard to believe. If the strut towers are that weak driving strait down the road, they would crumple while racing.

I believe Wildhammer has a brace in CF.

I got the BMR strut tower brace, in addition to BMR rear suspension and their mid-chassis brace. I like the look of the strut tower brace. However, the two brackets that bolt to the strut tower are finished in a weird bronze hammertone finish, that looks like it should be on metal patio furniture. Totally out of place on the car.

I had the brace and the brackets powercoated in gloss black, and they look pretty good now.

Wildhammer told me they had one other customer with a ZL1who had the same issue as me.
Bottom line: Caveat Emptor if you're going to install it on a ZL1.

FWIW, I installed the BMR brace on my ZE. Looks great. Absolutely zero performance benefit. Kind of pricey bling is all it is.
