MSD 2 Step throwing CEL P12FD/P069E/P0430/P0420
Hey all, sorry if this is in the wrong section, new to the forums.
So let me start this off with i am by no means a mechanic, nor should have installed the 2step without doing more research. I was impatient and now im dealing with those consequences. So yes i know im an idiot lol. Anyways, i have a 2016 SS A8. All i have done to it is a muffler delete and a secondary cat delete. Other than that, bone stock with a 2 step. Im guessing a big problem is i have stock primary cats? And that would throw the 430 and 420 codes? As for the other two from the reading ive done it has to do with the AFM valves. I wanted to see if I could get some feedback and learn some more about what issues i will face with these codes. And what would need to be fixed, etc. Again, not a mechanic, just little bit of research ive done. Thanks! Last edited by Caspeyy; 03-06-2019 at 10:56 AM. |

If you deleted a catalytic converter with no tune, that is going to most definitely cause a catalytic converter trouble code, since its no longer there.

Secondary cat delete won't throw a code, they're not monitored. Unless there's a big exhaust leak there..

My apologies. Didn't see it was the secondary converters.
