IMO,it is popular on many cars across many brands. It's a pleasant change from standard black interior.

IMOP a nice alternative to black, especially with a convertible... The seat inlay is black on my seats

Appreciate prompt replies. It’s those gray insets. Why did they go and do that? One with Black has grayish white insets.

Looking at 2016 and 2017 total, it looks like only 2% had Kalahari - total.

I had Kalahari in my 2016 SS and got nothing but compliments on it. I added the black suede knee bolster that really made it look rich

God awful. That looks orange instead of tan. I love my ashen grey interior, brightens up the inside and looks fabulous with Hyper Blue. 2% tells the story on a broader scale

Would have loved to have had it in my Blue Velvet Metallic. I think it's a great color and I've seen it in person and it's killa! A GM Rep I know who had the Mosaic Black Vert SS, had it in his with the same color top and it was stunning! He told me he wanted a Blue Velvet vert with Kalahari but couldn't get it that way in a 2017. Me moved to LA and and eventually sold the car due to lack of drive time but God, if we could have gone to a trim shop and swap it out I would've. LOL
I'm probably going to do some Katskins as I'm tired of the interior being so common with all other cars in the Camaro line-up.

I test drove a car with it and was considering it. I had a prior car with a similar color and really like it. The Camaro color was too over whelming in my opinion and I did not like it. If they lighten this color up I think it would have been a great choice for Reid or Hyper Blue cars.

It is pretty awesome with the Blue Velvet, I get compliments on it all the time.

See that’s what I’m talking about, that looks killer and if I could have had it in my car.... I’m gonna check to see if I can find it get that interior and if not, Katskins it will be.

Definitely tan rather than orange in person, and you'd be hard pressed to call it orange in the pictures either. As to what story percentages tell on a broader scale, check the numbers on ashen gray vs. kalahari in the link above.

...

I think the kalahari in my hyper blue SS looks awesome - upscale yet more unique than the black leather which has been an upmarket muscle car interior choice for decades, but more restrained than the bolder red and white insert options.
