Mark from Magnuson set up a base E85 tune for me and I'll pick up some E85 today which I believe is only E70 right now, then tomorrow after I burn a little more Vp out I'll switch it over and do a little more driving. I know my sensor is active as it says I have 0 percent E in it. I only have a month or so to get ready to head to Atlanta for the Eaton TVS Throwdown and its a 11 hour tow so I have to have all my ducks in a row before I leave including at least 1 TNT. My car won't pass tech for anything quicker then 10.00 so I'm going balls deep at TNT and then back off a pulley size to slow it down to run True Street and Bracket Race, plus I'll still enter the Throwdown for fun.

E85 is plentiful and cheap in the Atlanta area. If I have adequate enough fuel supply once I add lt4 fueling and a cam, my car will never again taste 93 octane. If I can't run full E85, then my next mod will be a lingenfelter hpf p...really hope the lt4 stuff will get me there

How's your build going? I might take fuel with me, but if Commerce, Ga has E I may just save weight of not hauling 15 gallon extra and just buy it there.

Depending on how much boost you throw at it, the Lingenfelter pump may do no good. I ran out of injector before my hpfp gave up. Now, maybe if I lowered the %e, then the hpfp would be next...but won’t know until summer. Just an FYI.

I never took my car to the dyno with the final tune on 10psi. I might go ahead and do that for my winter fun...that way I have a dyno on 8, 10 and 12.

It was 715 @8psi and 776 @12 psi...but truthfully, I think I had some slippage on the 12 psi run.

I ran those two on the same dyno the same day. I was thinking that my 10psi pulley would be right in the middle...but as I have sat around all winter with nothing to do...I realized that if I had slippage at 12psi...that might not be true.

I'm going to run the 70mm next weekend and then the 75mm to how much power is lost between the two. I may as you did run out of injector on the 70mm. I'd like to consistently run E65 to E70 plus I'll spray some Meth also. I don't know how much I can make but what ever it is it will be safer and more then last year. I just want to keep the boost below 13 lbs. I'm also willing to do a little VP mixing if needed to make sure I don't have an issue with fueling. Not spending anymore bucks this year, however it turns out is what I'm running.

I think that with alky injection you won’t be leaning on the injectors so much so that you should be fine. I don’t recall who, but someone else with a similar setup was running in the 830whp range by using alky injection to supplement e85. Based on what I saw in the logs, that’s exactly where I was before my injectors we’re out of room.

Truthfully, I would love to add the FIC injectors to see what it would look like. To me, that would be infinitely better than relying on alky injection.

Btw - I went back to the 80mm for the street...it looks like that is 10-11psi now. Maybe we should go hit the dyno together and see how the rides stack up. Let me know when you are going. Ted and I are planning a tune on VP109 that would only be a track tune...then on the street I will run e and 8-12 psi.

I'm still a couple of weeks away from firing up the car for the first time in what seems like months! The machine finished my motor last friday; I'm picking it up sometime this week and hope to start assembling next weekend.
I imagine E85 will be readily available in Commerce, but cannot say for sure.

Hopefully testing next month will be successful and I'll be ready to compete again this year. I missed the last 3 months of the season last year by not getting my shit together soon enough. I'm not pushing this engine to the hilt like I did the stock engine. I still have a few weak links in the drive train and hopefully they'll hold up for a while.
